Why you'll love it
Made for happy, healthy pets
The mess is the reason people stop
Home clipping fails on the clean-up, not the cut. A double coat off a dog in a living room means fur in the sofa, the skirting and the air for days afterwards, and that is what sends people back to paying a groomer. Catching the coat at the blade removes the part of the job nobody wants to do.
Noise is what the dog objects to
A dog that has met a loud clipper once will remember it. Holding the motor under 65 decibels puts it below a running vacuum, which is the threshold most dogs will sit through with a distraction rather than fight.
One canister, one dog
A 2.5 litre cup is roughly two and a half times what most handheld pet vacuums hold. On a shedding golden or a husky in season that is the difference between one uninterrupted session and stopping four times to empty it.

Good questions
Before you buy
No, and no clipper will. A mat has to come out before you clip, either teased apart with a comb or cut out. Running a clipper into a solid mat drags the skin underneath it, which is how dogs get nicked. Deal with the mats first, then clip.
Under 65 decibels, which sits below a domestic vacuum cleaner and roughly at the level of ordinary conversation. That is quiet for the category but it is not silent, and a dog meeting it for the first time should get a few short sessions rather than a full groom.
Yes, and the shorter guide combs suit a cat better than a dog. Cats are more sound-sensitive than most dogs though, so build up to it. If your cat will not tolerate the motor at all, the self-groomer and the deshedding glove do the same job with no noise.
Yes. Four of the five heads are cleaning heads rather than grooming ones, so the same unit takes fur off a sofa or a car seat without the clipper attached.
For most dogs, not within a single groom. The 2.5 litre cup is sized to take a full session on a double-coated dog; short-coated breeds will not come close to filling it.
