Salad Shaker Cup with Fork

$11.99

Dressing poured on at eight in the morning turns lettuce limp by one. This cup keeps it in a pot inside the lid until you are ready, then you tip it in, shake and eat.

How to use it

From fridge to fork

  1. 01

    Fill the cup

Put leaves in first and heavier things like chicken, egg or beans on top, then press the lid on.

  2. 02

    Add the dressing

At lunch, lift the pot out of the lid, tip the dressing over the salad and put the lid back on.

  3. 03

    Shake and eat

Hold the lid down and shake for a few seconds, then unclip the fork and eat straight from the cup.

Close up

Three parts that travel as one

The white salad cup filled with leaves, tomatoes, egg and chicken, the dressing pot beside it
  1. Fork clip

The fork slides into a slot on the rim of the lid and hangs down the side of the cup, so it cannot be left behind on the countertop.

  2. Lid with a well

The domed lid has a round well in the top. The dressing pot drops into it and the lid closes over everything.

  3. Dressing pot

A small lidded pot for oil and vinegar, a yoghurt dressing or a handful of seeds. Lift it out, pour, and the lid goes back on empty.

  4. 33.8 fl oz (1000 ml) cup

Clear polypropylene, so you can see how much is left. A liter leaves room to shake a full salad without the leaves packed solid.

Shaker cup or a flat lunch tub?

A tub suits pasta and grains. Leaves and dressing are where the cup pulls ahead, because shaking coats everything without a second bowl.

Questions

Keep the cup upright and hold the lid on while you shake it. We do not claim a leakproof seal, so carry it in a lunch bag rather than loose beside papers.

Yes. Yoghurt goes in the cup and granola or nuts go in the lid pot, so they stay crisp until you tip them in.

Anything you want to add at the last moment: vinaigrette, a spoon of yoghurt dressing, croutons, seeds or crushed nuts. Keep runny dressings upright, because we make no leakproof claim for the pot.

About a generous lunch for one: a big handful of leaves, a tomato, half a cucumber and some chicken or beans, with space at the top so it can move when you shake it.
