Magnetic Measuring Spoons

$12.99

Each spoon has two ends: a round bowl for scooping flour or sugar from a bag, and a narrow one that slides into a spice jar. Magnets in the handles keep all six in one stack.

  • Six sizes, 1/8 tsp to 1 tbsp
  • Round end and narrow end on each
  • Magnets hold the set together
  • Flat leveller for dry ingredients
Narrow ends of the spoons holding chilli flakes, peppercorns and cornmeal

How to use it

Measure, level, stack

  1. 01

    Pick the size

Read the label on the handle: 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 teaspoon, then 1/2 and 1 tablespoon.

  2. 02

    Use the right end

The round end scoops from a bag or tub. The narrow end slips into the neck of a spice jar.

  3. 03

    Level, then stack

Draw the leveller across the top for a level measure, then click the spoons back together.

One spoon, two jobs

Kindral magnetic measuring spoons with colored labels, laid out with the leveller
  1. Leveller

A flat steel bar. Draw it across a heaped spoonful of baking powder or salt and the excess falls back into the tub.

  2. Round end

Wide and shallow, for scooping from a bag or a flour bin.

  3. Narrow end

Long and slim, so it reaches into the neck of a spice jar without tipping the jar out.

Why a stacking set?

Measuring spoons on a ring are cheap and familiar, but the ring gets in the way of a jar and every spoon gets dirty at once.

Questions

Each spoon has one size printed on its handle, and both ends are made to that size. The round end is for scooping, the narrow end for reaching into spice jars.

1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 teaspoon, plus 1/2 and 1 tablespoon. Each size is printed on the handle.

Three. That is why the set includes a half tablespoon as well: it stands in for one and a half teaspoons, which comes up often in baking recipes.

So you can grab the right size at a glance. The colored set gives each size its own color; the black set has plain black labels with white print for a quieter look.

Yes. The magnets only hold the handles together, so you slide off the size you need and clip it back on the stack when it is washed and dry.

Prefer loose spoons

Not for me. I like to grab one spoon, and with the magnets I always end up with the whole lot in my hand.

Prefer my old ones

Magnets pull the spoons together every time I open the drawer and I just prefer loose spoons. Personal taste but not for me.

Leveller wanders off

The spoons stay together but the leveller has to live next to them. I have already had to look for it twice.

Uni kitchen win

Shared kitchen means my stuff goes missing. These stay clipped together in my own box and nobody can walk off with one spoon.

Vanilla extract without drips

Straight into the vanilla bottle goes the narrow end. No dribbling down the outside for once.

One block in the drawer

The whole set stays as one block in the drawer.

Narrow end slightly too narrow

The narrow end fits the spice jars great but slightly too narrow for some of my wide mouth tubs, so I use the round end for those. Still a very good set.

Not for my drawer

My cutlery drawer is quite shallow and the stack stands a bit tall for it. Ended up keeping them on a hook instead. Do work well though.
