Where the spoon goes while you stir

Drop the handle in a slot
Each of the four notches takes one handle, so the spoon stays put and doesn't roll off.

Let the head drip into the tray
Sauce runs into the tray in front, and the raised rim keeps it there instead of on the worktop.

Rinse it under the tap
When you've finished cooking, tip out the drips, rinse it and stand it on its edge to dry.

Four notches
Each one cradles a handle, so a wooden spoon, a ladle, a spatula and tongs can all sit side by side.
Shallow tray
The heads of the utensils lie here. Sauce, oil and stock collect in it rather than spreading across the counter.
Raised lip
A low wall runs round three sides of the tray, enough to keep a few spoonfuls of gravy where they landed.
Hanging hole
A small hole in the corner lets it hang on a hook by the cooker when you are not using it.

Four, one in each slot along the back. A fifth can lie flat in the tray, but then it isn't held by the handle.
13.8 cm square and 3.9 cm tall at the slots, so it fits beside the hob without taking much worktop.
Put it on the worktop beside the hob, not on a burner or a hot ring. The supplier gives no heat rating, so treat it like any other worktop item.
The base is flat silicone and the whole rest weighs about 95 g, so put it on a dry patch of worktop. A wet surface lets most things skid, this included.
All four are the same mould and size. Black and grey hide stains best; beige and sage green are softer next to wood or pale worktops.
