Gets through leftovers fast
My family never finishes anything in one go, so I use these constantly. Bowl of rice, half a can of corn, cut watermelon. All covered in no time.

Cling film tears, sticks to itself and goes in the bin after one use. These six rings of silicone stretch over the rim instead, then wash and go back in the drawer.
Colour Clear
How to use it
Choose the lid a little smaller than the rim, so it has to stretch to fit.
Hold one tab, stretch the lid across and hook the far edge, then work round the rim.
Lift one tab to release it, wash it in warm soapy water and stack the set together.
Fit
Each lid grips by stretching, so it needs a firm rim slightly larger than itself.
The smallest lid, 6.5 cm, suits a cut lemon, a jar or a tin of tomato purée.
Compared
Film still wins for wrapping odd shapes like half a cabbage. For anything with a rim, a lid is simpler.
| Compared | This productStretch lids | Cling film |
|---|---|---|
| Used again | Yes | No |
| Tears while you fit it | No | Yes |
| Wraps irregular shapes | No | Yes |
| Takes up drawer space | A flat stack | A long box |
Small square tubs, yes, if a lid stretches far enough to reach the corners. Round rims are what they grip best.
20.5 cm across before stretching, which covers most mixing bowls up to about that width.
The clear set has a faint blue tint, as in the first photo. The blue and green sets are tinted all the way through but still let you see what is underneath.
The supplier gives no temperature rating, so we do not recommend heating food with them on. Use them for storing and carrying.

They stack flat in my drawer. Love that.

Half a grapefruit or half a melon gets covered in about two seconds. Six sizes meant I found a lid for every piece of cut fruit.

Bought them doubting they'd grip tbh, but they really do. Stretched one over an open tin of tomatoes and it held tight in the fridge for days.

These do what they say. They stretch over round bowls and grip pretty well. My problem is I'm in the habit of grabbing plastic wrap, and these take more effort: picking the size, stretching the tab, working it around the rim. With a toddler on my hip I just don't have the hands for it. Probably better for someone with a calmer kitchen.

Use the big one over my mixing bowl when dough is proving, and the small ones over ramekins of leftover custard.

Use the 14.5 cm constantly and wish there were two. Everything else is great.

Bring lunch to work in a bowl with one of these on top. It stays put on the drive in and pulls off easily by the tab.

Big one sits snugly over the mixing bowl.

Got the clear set so I can see what's in each bowl without lifting the lid. They grip tight on my glass bowls.
