Taco Holder Stand

R199.99

Hard shells tip over the moment you add the mince, and soft ones flop open. This little wave rack holds three of them upright on the plate, so you fill with both hands free.

    Set it on the plate

Put one stand on each plate before the shells come out of the oven.

  2. 02

  3. 03

    Stack them away

Wash and dry them, then nest them in a pile on the shelf.

Compared

Stand or no stand?

You can prop shells against each other on a plate. It works until somebody reaches for the salsa.

Questions

Three, one in each dip. For a family of four, order one per person in different colours so everyone knows which plate is theirs.

Yes. Fold the tortilla in half and stand it in a dip; the walls stop it opening out while you fill it.

No. It is plastic and the supplier gives no heat rating. Warm the shells on a baking tray, let them cool for a minute, then stand them in the rack.

So each person at the table has their own. Order a mix and nobody argues over whose plate has the extra cheese on it.

Very light. The supplier's own photo shows one on a kitchen scale reading 44 g, a little less than a medium egg out of its shell.

Smart little stand

Wave shape holds each shell snugly. Great for dinner parties with a taco bar.

Fun for family night

Kids think it is hilarious that tacos have their own little stands. Fun for family night and no spilled lettuce. We use the green one and the blue one the most.

Fixed my taco problem

Always tore the shells trying to hold them and fill them. Now they sit in the dips and I fill them with beans, cheese and salsa. No broken shells since.

Good but colour a bit pale

The green is a little lighter than it looked online, more of a mint. Works perfectly though and we use it every taco night.

Worth the drawer space

Nests flat, so it hardly takes up any room.

Midweek mince and beans

Our usual midweek taco night used to end with a pile of broken shells and half the filling on the worktop. Now the shells stay upright while I spoon in the mince and beans, and then I add cheese and salad on top. Nothing slides. Wish I had bought one years ago.

Stays put on the plate

Stands up straight with three shells in, even when I carry the plate to the table. Red is a lovely colour too.

Friday treat

Wife and I have tacos every Friday now. The stand has turned it from a messy scramble into something that feels a bit more like a proper meal.
