Soap Dispensing Palm Brush

R199.99

Washing up with a sponge and a bottle means putting one down to pick up the other. A soap dispensing palm brush keeps the liquid in its handle and lets a little out each time you press the top.

  • One steel, one mesh scourer
  • About 10 cm tall, 9 cm across
Unscrewing the cap to fill the handle with washing up liquid

How to use it

Fill it, press it, rinse it

  1. 01

    Fill the handle

Unscrew the grey cap, pour washing up liquid into the clear reservoir and screw the cap back on firmly.

  2. 02

    Press as you scrub

Hold it in your palm and press the button on top. A little liquid runs down into the scourer, so the bottle stays on the side.

  3. 03

    Rinse and stand it

Rinse the scourer under the tap and stand the brush beside the sink, scourer down, so the water drains out of it.

  1. Push button

Press it with the heel of your hand and a little liquid travels down through the base into the scourer.

  2. Clear reservoir

Unscrew the grey cap to fill it. Because the wall is clear, you can see when it needs topping up.

  3. Mesh scourer

A coil of grey PET plastic mesh about 9 cm across. The second brush in the set has steel wool in the same place.

Compared

Palm brush, long dish wand or sponge?

A long wand reaches into jugs and bottles. The palm brush sits lower in the hand, which gives more pressure on a roasting tin, and the steel wool version takes on jobs a sponge gives up on.

Questions

Use the steel wool one on stainless steel pans, enamel roasting tins and oven racks. The plastic mesh one is the gentler of the two for plates and glasses. Neither is tested on non stick, so try a hidden patch first.

This one sits in your hand while you wash. You fill it once, press the top for more liquid as you go, and it needs no batteries or power of any kind.

Ordinary washing up liquid. If your brand is thick and slow to come through, top the reservoir up with a splash of warm water and give it a gentle shake.

It can mark polished stainless steel and enamel, so try it on a hidden patch first. Use the plastic mesh brush for the sink and keep the steel one for roasting tins and oven racks.
