How to use it

Blend, drink, rinse

  1. 01

    Fill the jar

With the jar on the base, add soft fruit cut into pieces of about 2 cm, then pour in milk, juice or water.

  2. 02

    Lid on, then blend

Screw the lid down, press the button on the base and let it run until smooth, in short bursts for thicker mixes.

  3. 03

    Drink, then rinse

Flip the lid open and drink from the jar. Afterwards blend a little warm soapy water, rinse the jar and wipe the base.

Three parts, one button

  1. Flip lid

Screws onto the top of the jar. The small cap flips back so you drink straight from it once the motor has stopped.

  2. Clear jar

Holds 380 ml and is made of PCTG plastic. It unscrews from the base for filling and washing, and the waist in the middle gives your hand a grip.

  3. Button and charging socket

The round button on the front starts the six point blade. Below it, a small cover marked with a battery hides the USB charging socket.

Which blender for which job?

A cup like this suits one drink at a time. For soup, nut butter or a jug of smoothies for the family, a mains machine still does the heavy work.

Questions

Through the charging socket on the front of the base, from a USB port on a laptop, a power bank or a phone charger plug. There is no mains lead and no batteries to buy.

It is made for soft fruit, yoghurt and shakes. Add ice or hard frozen fruit only a little at a time with plenty of liquid, and stop if the blade slows or stalls.

Smoothies from soft or thawed fruit, protein shakes, milkshakes and salad dressings. Fill it no more than two thirds so the mix can move, and cut fruit into pieces of about 2 cm, as the supplier's directions suggest.

It weighs about 550 g and stands 22.8 cm tall, so it slips into a gym bag or a backpack pocket. The supplier does not describe the lid as leakproof, so carry it upright once it has a drink inside.

The supplier gives no firm number of blends per charge, so top it up by USB when it starts to slow. A laptop port, power bank or phone charger plug will all do the job.
