Happy with it
Happy with it. Wish the plastic had a bit more heft, but it works fine.

Beat a couple of eggs, pour them into the open case, close the hinge and microwave. The omelette comes out folded in a half moon, and the separate insert poaches two eggs the same way.

How to use it
Beat two eggs with any fillings and pour half into each side of the open case.
Fold it shut and cook in short bursts, checking between each until the egg has set all the way through.
Open the hinge and the omelette comes out already folded. For poached eggs, use the insert instead.
Close up

The top half folds down over the egg. Half the mixture goes in here, so both sides of the omelette set at once.
A long hinge runs across the middle with a small catch to hold it shut while it cooks.
Two round cups sit in the lower half when you want poached eggs. Lift it out for omelettes.
Compared
A pan gives you browning and a softer centre if you know the timing. The case gives you a consistent shape with nothing to stand over.

It depends on your microwave and how many eggs you use. Start with short bursts of about 30 seconds and check between each, until no runny egg is left.
Yes. Set the egg insert into the case, crack one egg into each cup and pierce the yolks before you cook them.
A whole yolk heats from the inside and can burst in the microwave. A quick prick with a cocktail stick lets steam out, so it cooks quietly in its cup.
Yes, as long as they are small and already cooked: chopped ham, grated cheese, spinach or peppers. Raw meat will not cook through in the time the egg needs.
The supplier lists the material as PP and marks it for the microwave. It gives no maximum temperature, so keep it out of the oven and away from the grill, and wash it by hand.

Cooking for one and this is just the right size. Half moon, folds out on the plate.

My mum has stiff hands and standing at the hob with a hot pan is hard for her now. She can pour the egg in, snap it shut and press the button. The hinge opens easily and the omelette slides out onto the plate. Cooks it in short bursts and watches it set. She is very pleased with it.

I work from home and lunch used to be a sandwich again. Now it is a cheese and tomato omelette in a couple of minutes, and the only thing to wash is this. Rinse it under the tap and it is ready for tomorrow.

Saturday morning, no energy, no wish to stand at the hob. Eggs, bit of ham, microwave. Saved my weekend. Even in that state I managed to check between bursts and get a properly set omelette.

Poached eggs on toast without a pot of simmering water. Insert in, crack, pierce, short bursts, check. Spot on.

Made one in the morning, let it cool, and took it to work in a box with some salad. Worked well cold too.

My roommate burned three omelettes in a pan last month. He has not burned one with this.
