Picking shell off a boiled egg one fleck at a time is slow and tears the white. This cup cracks the whole shell at once, so it comes away in a few large pieces.
Colour Yellow

How to use it
Put one boiled, cooled egg in the cup with about a tablespoon of water.
Close the cap and shake hard up and down for a few seconds until the shell sounds soft.
Open the cup and slip the cracked shell off with your thumb, then rinse the cup.
Close up

A ring of small holes in the cap lets the water out when you tip the cup over the sink.
Raised points moulded into the clear wall. As the egg bounces, they crack the shell into a fine web.
The second cap closes the bottom, so the egg has room to tumble end over end.
Compared
The cup does one egg at a time, so for a dozen devilled eggs a bowl of iced water and patience may be just as quick.

Less well. The membrane on a very fresh egg clings to the white, so the shell cracks but needs more picking off. Eggs a week or so old peel most cleanly.
Cool the egg in cold water first. The supplier gives no heat rating for the clear body, and a cooled egg peels better anyway.
Quail eggs are too small for the ridges to reach and just rattle around. A large duck egg may not fit at all. It is shaped for a standard hen's egg.
Yes, about a tablespoon. The water cushions the egg and gets under the membrane, which is what lets the cracked shell slide off rather than stick.

Egg and curry mayo sandwiches for the whole office lunch club. Peeled a dozen over the weekend, one after another, and the whites were smooth and undamaged. Quite satisfying, honestly. The cup is small enough that I could carry it to the office to peel the last few on the spot, and a few colleagues now want to borrow it.

I leave eggs a week or so in the fridge before boiling, as the page suggests, and they peel almost every time. Great little tool.

Boiled a batch before leaving and peeled them at the campsite with this. Weighs nothing, takes almost no room, and kept my hands out of shell crumbs.

Could not get the hang of it, eggs kept coming out with the shell stuck on.

Brought it out at a family lunch for the egg starter. Everyone took a turn shaking and the shells slid off in big pieces. Even my teenager was impressed, which is rare.

Sunday morning, four hungry people and a pan of eggs. Peeled the lot with this in the time it usually takes me to do two.

Being a student means a lot of boiled eggs. This stays in my one cupboard and makes peeling painless. My flatmates keep borrowing the green one.

Egg mayo sandwiches are my daily lunch and I have been peeling by hand for years. This is quicker and the eggs look neater. Not complaining about the pink fingers I no longer get from hot water either.
