My go to for Sundays
Sunday morning staple. Pancakes done in minutes.
Now delivering to South Africa, with prices in rand. Shop all
Whisk the batter in the jug, then hold it over the pan and squeeze the trigger. The valve in the base lets out as much as you want, so pancakes come out round and the hob stays clean.

How to use it
Pour in milk, eggs and flour, fit the lid and turn the crank until no dry flour is left.
Grip the handle and squeeze the trigger. The valve in the base opens and the batter falls straight down.
Release the trigger to close the valve, move to the next spot and squeeze again.
Close up

Hangs from the lid. Turning the crank spins it through the batter and breaks up pockets of dry flour.
Marked in millilitres up to 800, so the milk can be measured straight into the jug.
Runs down the inside of the handle. Squeeze it and the red valve under the jug lifts open.
Plugs into the top of the lid and pulls off again for washing.
Compared
A ladle is fine for a few pancakes. For a tray of cupcakes or a stack for four, mixing and pouring from the same jug saves a bowl and the drips.
| Compared | This productBatter dispenser | Ladle and bowl | Squeeze bottle |

| Things to wash | Jug, lid and whisk | Bowl, whisk and ladle | Bottle and funnel |
Pancake, crêpe and cupcake batters pour well. Stiff mixtures such as cookie dough are too thick for the valve, so spoon those instead.
Take off the lid and crank, rinse the whisk, and run warm soapy water through the jug while you squeeze the trigger. The supplier doesn't list it as dishwasher safe, so wash it by hand.
The scale on the side goes up to 800 ml. Stop a little short of the top so the whisk can turn without splashing over the rim.
Yes. Hold it over each paper case and give the trigger a short squeeze. The batter falls from the base rather than over a lip, so it is easier to put the same amount in every case and keep the tin clean.
Turn the crank until no dry flour is visible before you pour. If a lump does catch, squeeze the trigger all the way and give the jug a gentle shake over the bowl.

No more batter dribbling down the side of the jug.

Bought a second for the holiday cottage after using mine at home all winter. The family would have mutinied without it.

My pancakes used to be lopsided from tipping the bowl. This is controlled and tidy, so now they look like the picture on the box. The trigger gives me control over the size, so I can do big ones for me and little ones for the kids. Nobody can tell I used to be terrible at flipping them round.

The lid whisk gets the lumps out so fast I stopped using a separate whisk.

Honestly thought this would be one of those gadgets that ends up in the back of a cabinet. My wife kept using it so I finally tried it for Sunday breakfast. You pour with one hand and flip with the other, which is the whole point. Pancakes came out round instead of the usual blobs. The lid and crank lift off and I run soapy water through the valve, done.

Pours neatly. Washes easily. Happy.

My batter was always lumpy because I'd get impatient with the whisk. The crank in the lid sorts it, I just keep turning until there's no dry flour left and it's smooth. Then I hold it over the pan and pour neat circles. Tried thin crepe batter and thicker American style pancake batter and both came through the valve fine.

Used every weekend since I got it and the valve still shuts cleanly. Nice bit of kit.

Made pancakes for my wife's birthday breakfast and they were all the same size for once. Squeeze, wait, flip. She noticed. I carried the tray up with a pile of pancakes, a little jug of syrup and a flower from the garden. The jug did all the hard work, I just had to flip and not burn anything.
